Protein-Tex
Protein-tex is a new polyurethane coating that is hydrophobic and microporous. The Protein-Tex coating incorporates a protein-based powder, which greatly improves breathability and makes the coating very smooth when used in unlined garments. Protein-Tex garments are also very waterproof, making them ideal for highly aerobic outdoor activities like running, cycling, Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Protein-Tex can be applied to both nylons and polyesters and is seam tapeable. We guarantee this coating when used in unlined applications so garments are very lightweight and packable.
