Tomen Corporation Introduces Teflon® HT
NEW YORK, August 12, 1999 - The Textile Division of Tomen Corporation, in cooperation with DuPont Japan, today launched the use of Teflon® HT Fabric Protector on Gelanots® laminated fabrics. Teflon® HT will give the Gelanots® laminated outer fabrics superior water repellency and performance.

Teflon® HT is DuPont's water-based finish that resists interacting with other chemicals. When applied to fabrics, this invisible finish provides superior water repellency and protection. Teflon® HT delivers durable, long-lasting protection by forming a molecular shield around the fibers. Teflon® HT is undetectable by sight, smell, or touch. It protects all fabrics without affecting the color, hand, or breathability of the fabric.

All fabrics treated with Teflon® HT will meet DuPont's minimum end-use performance requirements. Teflon® HT has a spray rating of 80 after 20 washings using AATCC Test Method 22-1989.

DuPont Teflon® HT hang tags will be provided to Tomen's customers. DuPont Teflon® HT will be also available for use with other Tomen performance fabrics.
